RV Tips : Gutter Cleaning
If you have trouble keeping your RV Roof clean, or your gutters from clogging, you are not alone.
Many RV Parks have camping areas which are located underneath trees. While this is a great benefit in the summertime for shade; in the fall it can become a real pain.
My rig was parked under several large maples at my RV Park. I found that the gutters on my trailer were often getting clogged with leaves and tree droppings. Each fall I spend countless hours on a ladder try to keep the trailer gutters clean. After several years of fighting with leaves and clogged gutter (and trying to find another residence in the RV Park), I found this great tip:
- Go to your local Do-it-yourself store and get a hose extension, usually 4-5 feet in length.
- Attach to the hose and voila, no more ladders and the gutters are very easy to clean now.
This works well with gas blowers as well.
